Home fitness exercise is quite often over looked as most people don't have the motivation or commitment to carry it through, exercising at home has lots of benefits but the main one has to be the fact that it doesn't require monthly membership.
First of all you have to establish what your goals are, is it just to get fit or is it to lose weight, obviously the two go hand in hand. Great care needs to be taken when starting out on a new exercise regime; it's often a good idea to consult your Doctor before commencing your exercise program.

Start out slowly maybe start by going out for a brisk walk and then increase your efforts

daily until you can start jogging, don't worry it will become easier the more you do this and eventually it will become part of your daily routine.
Keep a chart of your activities and tick of each day that you complete your daily challenge, of course there are lots of different exercises you can do and many pieces of home fitness exercise machines that you can use.
The main types of equipment are cardio exercise machines or strength training equipment it all depends what you want from your piece of exercise equipment.

If you are looking to lose weight then maybe the cardio equipment such as cycling machine, stepper or an elliptical machine would be best for you, if you're looking to build up muscle then a weights machine may well be what you're looking for but make sure it's what you think you require and also one that you will keep using.
To help you keep up your exercise regime it may help to find yourself an exercise buddy, someone who will motivate you and not make excuses as to why they shouldn't exercise, whichever way you go try and have fun.
